Also shown are the Ura⁻ parental strain CAF4-2 and the Ura⁺ control strain CAF2-1. Results from three independent experiments were averaged. The amount of glucan was calculated relative to that in the parental strain CAF4-2, which was considered 100%. The asterisks indicate P values of <0.05, as determined using Student's t test.
