Only genes showing significant changes in gene expression (p < 0.05), or whose expression was detected in only one genotype, are shown. All genes assayed, with corresponding ΔCt values, are listed in Table S1.

Gene expression was quantified by qRT-PCR using a custom TaqMan low-density array. Fold changes were calculated using Bmpr2 as the reference gene, as it yielded highly consistent Ct values between genotypes. NA, fold change could not be calculated for genes expressed in cells of only one genotype (genes with Ct values ≤30 were considered to be expressed).
