Mutant phenotypes discovered by ENU mutagenesis. (A) The fosse phenotype exhibits bent wrists, eye defects, skeletal defects, and variable incidence of cleft palate and exencephaly. (B) The ugli phenotype closely resembles the fosse phenotype, even with regard to cleft palate and exencephaly. (C) The daredevil phenotype is characterized by bilateral anophthalmia, growth insufficiency, and cleft palate. (D) bub mutant embryos display severe micrognathia and cleft palate.
