HbA1c below 42 mmol/mol is associated with increased risk of short-term mortality, specifically among individuals with obstructive and non-obstructive CAD. (B) Adjusted associations between HbA1c categories and mortality in participants with no CAD, non-obstructive CAD, and obstructive CAD. The pattern of association between HbA1c and mortality varied across categories of CAD severity (p-value for interaction = 0.0005).
