The repair reaction was conducted with nuclear extracts prepared from non-treated cells and cells treated for 3 h, 12 h and 24 h with AV-153-Na (see Materials and Methods). For each lesion, we calculated the ratio of the fluorescence intensity obtained with the treated cells over the fluorescence intensity obtained with the control cells. The values >1 reflect an induction of the Excision/Synthesis Repair activities. ∗∗p < 0.01 versus 8oxoG control; ####p < 0.0001 versus AbaS control; p < 0.01 versus AlkB control.
