Girls showed stronger functional connectivity during SRP Flanker trials (mean ± standard error of the mean; n = 40). Left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) was more strongly functionally connected to left striatum (top) and right precuneus (bottom), a region of the default mode network (DMN), during SRP Flanker vs. Control Flanker conditions in girls, compared to boys.
