Kinetic studies on the mechanism of BChE inhibition by (A) AntiOxBEN1 and (B) donepezil. The effect of the inhibitors on the enzyme was determined from the double reciprocal plot of 1/rate (1/V) vs. 1/substrate concentration in presence of varying concentrations of the inhibitors. The Ki values were calculated by the intersection of the curves obtained by plotting 1/V vs. the inhibitor concentration for each substrate concentration (Dixon plots insets on the top right).
