Media optimization for enhanced noscapine production in yeast. Noscapine titers were measured from CSY1153 in different medium and carbon sources. Base medium includes SD (synthetic complete) and YP (yeast extract and peptone). Carbon sources include 2% or 10% of dextrose, galactose, sucrose, trehalose, and glycerol. The strain was cultured at 25 °C for 72 h in the indicated media composition with 10 mM ascorbic acid. Error bars represent SD of at least three biological replicates.
