Tc from leaf discs of four isoprene-emitting species exposed to N2, or 21 μL L−1 isoprene in N2

Tc was measured as the temperature at which Fo exhibited an upward inflection (see Fig. 1). Leaf discs for each replicate measured in N2, with and without isoprene, were collected from opposite sides of the midvein of the same leaf. Paired Student's t tests examined if the degree of thermoprotection was different from zero. iso, Isoprene. sds are given.
