The change in each variable is defined as a change from just before PMX-DHP to 3 days after the therapy. ΔP/F ratio, changes in the PaO₂/FiO₂ ratio; Δneutrophil counts, changes in neutrophil counts. The change in the P/F ratio was inversely correlated with the change in neutrophil counts in blood (r_s = −0.431, p = 0.006).
