BM	Basic Medium	α-MEM, FCS, ASAP, P/S, BGP
EM	Expansion Medium	[α-MEM, FCS, ASAP, P/S, BGP] + bFGF
OM	Osteogenic Medium	[α-MEM, FCS, ASAP, P/S, BGP] + BMP2

Basic medium (BM) consisted of α-MEM supplemented with 10% (v/v) fetal calf serum (FCS), 0.2 mM l-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate (ASAP), 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 µg/ml streptomycin (P/S), 10 mM β-glycerophosphate (BGP). Expansion medium (EM) was BM supplemented with 1 ng/ml basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF). Osteogenic medium was BM supplemented with 750 ng/ml rhBMP-2 (BMP2).
