Effect of carboplatin or hyperoxia treatment on the expression of apoptotic genes in benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P)-induced lung cancer mouse model. (A) mRNA expression of BAX, Bcl-2, BAX/Bcl-2, and caspase 3 was examined by real-time polymerase chain reaction. (B) Protein levels of apoptotic genes were examined using Western blot analysis. (C) Caspase 3 activity in lung tissue was measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The results are the mean ± SE.
