Differential systemic levels of cytokines in wild type (WT), nlrp3−/−, and caspase-1/11−/− mice during Trypanosoma cruzi infection. Plasma levels of the indicated cytokines were determined in uninfected and infected WT, nlrp3−/−, and caspase-1/11−/− at 14 and 21 days post infection. (A) IL-1β, (B) IL-18, (C) IL-6, (D) tumor necrosis factor, and (E) IL-10 were measured by ELISA Sandwich. Data are shown as mean ± SEM from one of three representative experiments; n = 3–6 mice per group.
