Minocycline treatment restored the MCT-perturbed autonomic balance. B, Plasma norepinephrine (NE), indicative of sympathetic activation, was greatly increased in MCT-treated rats and minocycline treatment significantly reduced the NE to control. ‡p<0.001 vs. control and minocycline, ***p<0.001 vs. MCT (n= 6 rats/group). Data are represented as mean ± SEM, analyzed using one-way ANOVA with Newman-Keuls post hoc test. 2-way ANOVA showed significant interactions between MCT and minocycline on LF/HF (p=0.0097) and plasma NE (p=0.0007).
