Increases in NCP (mmol C m⁻² hr⁻¹) in control tide pools were associated with (A) increases in pH (total scale hr⁻¹; R² = 0.62, P = 0.007), (B) declines in pCO₂ (µatm hr⁻¹; R² = 0.47, P = 0.029), (C) increases in net ecosystem calcification (mmol CaCO₃ m⁻² hr⁻¹; R² = 0.67, P = 0.004), and (D) increases in O₂ concentrations (mg m⁻² hr⁻¹; R² = 0.65, P = 0.005).
