Sinomenine promotes G1-phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. (A B) U87 and U251 cells were treated with or without 16 μmol/L of sinomenine for 48 hours and examined for cell cycle distribution by flow cytometry after PI staining. The sub-G1 population was gated out, and the percentages of cells at the G0/G1, S, and G2/M phases were calculated.
