Comparison of marginal and multispectral filtering. Comparison of the performance of NR-NLM, NR-NLML, NR-MS-NLM and NR-MS-NLML filters was performed on in-vivo T1W human brain images. Noisy and filtered images are displayed for two different flip angles (FA). For each FA, the windowing of gray levels was adjusted to compensate for signal loss. The windowing of gray levels was identical to ensure a direct comparison between different methods.
