Table 2.

Steady-State Inactivation Currents of CaV1.2 Obtained in 5 mM Ba2+

Parameters/ Splice Isoform V1/2inact. (mV) k n
1a/8 −30.9 ± 0.7 −7.6 ± 0.6 10
1a/8a −36.0 ± 0.9a,c −7.8 ± 0.8 10
1/8 −37.2 ± 0.9b −7.8 ± 0.8 11
1/8a −43.1 ± 0.7a,b,c −8.0 ± 0.7 9

The half-maximal inactivation (V1/2inact.) was calculated from the normalized currents after a single Boltzmann fit was applied. The slope factor is given as the k-value, and n represents the number of experiments. Data are given as mean ± SE. Significance testing was done by a one-way ANOVA, Bonferroni corrected, a/ap < 0.01, b/bp < 0.05, c/cp <0.0001.
