Effect of CS exposure on CD4 Cell surface receptor quantified by single cell imaging flow cytometry. NHBE ALI cultures were exposed to CS. At the end of smoking, cells were immuno-stained with surface markers anti-Human CD4 labeled with FITC. % Gated CD4+ or FITC+ cells for air NHBE (22.71 ± 2.44%) and smoke NHBE (32.78 ± 2.71%) are represented (panel a).
