The peak dose distribution is calculated by convolving the photon fluence with analytic electron dose kernels. The integrated dose under the microbeam peaks (shaded in red) must be equal to the dose deposited in primary photon interactions. The dose from scattered photon interactions (green) is homogeneously distributed and added as a constant.
