Model 1 adjusted for age, network, education, sex, and race. Model 2 adjusted for model 1 components as well as cardiovascular disease, systolic BP, use of diuretics, and antiacidosis medications (sodium bicarbonate, sodium citrate, citric acid/sodium citrate). Model 3 adjusted for model 2 components as well as eGFR and log-transformed urine albuminuria.
