STD-NMR indicates a modification of the exposure to solvent for the ribose moiety of adenosine upon binding to A_2AR, in the presence or in the absence of CGS-21680. The structure proposed for the adenosine with the buried ribose proton corresponds to the structure of the adenosine solved in complex with A_2AR³³ (PDB ID: 2YDO). The structure proposed for the adenosine with the solvent exposed ribose proton is inspired by the study of Sabbadin et al.⁷³.
