Multiplex ELISA was performed to evaluate the levels of pro-inflammatory IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, IL-17a, and IFN-γ and anti-inflammatory IL-10 in serum of short-term and long-term groups. Values are expressed as mean ± SEM in pg/ml, n = 7–11/group. A two-way ANOVA with factors neurotoxin, drug, and their interaction was performed
