Mitochondrial respiratory activity of macrophages cell cultures exposed for 72 h to different doses of HCCoCr wear particles. Wear particles were obtained in PBS containing 3 g/L HA without (white bars) and with polarization (dotted black bars). Cell cultures were exposed to the following wear particles concentrations: 0.5, 1 and 2 mg/mL. Experiments were done as independent triplicate.
