Statistical analyses of mitochondrial respiratory activity. The effects of the particle (P), the concentration, and their interaction on the changes in respiratory activity were analyzed with a two-way analysis of variance. A p value of ≤0.05 was considered significant. Mean pairwise comparisons were computed with a Tukey’s test (α = 0.05). All analyses were performed with the R software version 3.4.2 (R Core Team, Vienna, Austria, 2017).
