The dependent variable is the quality score and explanatory variables are lagged 1 year. Column 1 includes hospital characteristics, human capital factors, teaching and foundation trust status, and primary variables reflecting the quality of the organisation of the process of stroke care. Column 2 adds a set of external variables and column 3 adds the year dummy. Column 4 substitutes the composite organisational measure for the primary organisation features of the process of stroke care
