The significance of the F ST values was assessed via 1,000 permutations: *for p‐values < .05, **for p‐values < .01 and ***for p‐values < .001. Once corrected for multiple tests (using the false discovery rate, Storey, 2003), only F ST between Australia and the Gulf of Lion for cytb (a) remained significant.
