(D) EAAT Na+ current During neural activity, the NKA pumps Na+ from the cell to allow for K+ uptake, therefore there is a net decrease in [Na+]PsC. When the neurone stops firing, NKA slows down and there is a net uptake of Na+ via the remaining channels.
