CRE-inducible FLAG-tagged ΔFosB pTomo or empty pTomo constructs were modified to incorporate the H1 promoter and scrambled or galanin shRNA, and delivered to the VHTs of male 6- to 7-week-old neuronal promoter SF1-CRE mice for simultaneous ΔFosB expression and galanin silencing. Energy metabolism and bone were analyzed 6 weeks after surgery. (A) Feeding and calorimetric analysis of energy expenditure. (B) Micro-CT analysis of bone (see Table 2 for values).
