Corilagin treatment reduces the mitochondrial transmembrane potential of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) SMMC-7721 cells. (A) Cells were treated with different doses (12.5, 25, 37.5 and 50 µM) of corilagin or DMSO (0.1%, w/v) as a negative control and 30 µM CDDP as a positive control for 24 h and then stained with JC-1. Images were captured by fluorescence microscopy. Magnification, ×100. (B) The ratio of the decrease in mitochondrial transmembrane potential in SMMC-7721 cells treated with corilagin (**P<0.01 and ***P<0.001).
