Rats were treated with DZX with or without 5-HD and subjected to cerebral ischemia for 2 h followed by 12 h of reperfusion. Sham rats were not subjected to cerebral ischemia. DZX, diazoxide; I/R, ischemia/reperfusion; 5-HD, 5-hydroxydecanoate.
