Insets: spatial profiles of initial and focused and defocused electron beams on the MCP-detector. Legend shows the number of counts on the detector. (c) and (d): Computed spatial field distributions of the focusing and defocusing fields, respectively. Simulation is performed with ~2×6 µJ THz and beam diameter of 3 mm.
