Confocal images of U87 cells. U87MG cells grown under normoxic (A) and hypoxic (B) conditions in presence of pimonidazole. FITC conjugated anti-pimonidazole antibody was used to detect pimonidazole-induced adducts in cells. Cells were counter-stained for Hif-1α. Hypoxic cells showed increased binding of pimonidazole and increased fluorescence for Hif-1α relative to cells cultured in normoxic conditions.
