The rat in vivo MRI images of necrosis in reperfused liver infarction and muscle necrosis models. The first row was T1WI, T2WI, DWI and CE-T1WI weighted MR images and macroscopic photographs with the necrosis liver lobe (arrow) and the second row was that of muscle necrosis area (arrow). The liver lobe with reperfused liver and necrotic muscle appeared higher signal on T2WI, DWI and CE-T1WI images. Evens blue appeared blue uptake in the infarcted right liver lobe (a) and necrotic muscle (b), indicated by arrows. (n=3).
