After co-staining with Annexin V-FITC and PI, untreated cells and necrosis cells were analyzed by flow cytometry to measure the percentage of necrotic cells. Necrotic cells were on the upper right gate and viable cells were on the lower left gate. Fluorescence microphotographs were acquired with necrotic cells and untreated cells after stain with EB, Hoechst 33342 and PI. EB were mainly situated in the cytoplasmic membrane of viable cells (top row) and were mainly located in the nucleus region of necrotic cells (bottom row). Scale bar=50 μm.
