The value of the order parameters in different domains. The order parameter ψ is +1 inside the tissue cells (represented in blue) and −1 outside, while the order parameter ϕ is +1 inside the endothelial cells (represented in red) and −1 in the rest of the domain. The stroma is characterized by the region where ϕ and ψ are both negative. The model dynamics prevents the superposition between the positive domains of the two order parameters.
