Psychometric curves for control experiments (Exp. 3–5). No significant difference between the pre and post-tool use psychometric curves were found for any control experiment: (a) Experiment 3, when tool use occurred in the absence of a mirror visual illusion; (b) Experiment 4, when participants viewed a mirror reflection of their arm holding a tool stationary; (c) Experiment 5, when participants viewed a mirror reflection of their hand picking up an object.
