  • Head circumference measurement

  • Abdominal circumference measurement

  • (preferably within 10 days, but no later than Month 1 Visit)

  • Physical exam

  • If specific consent for this has been obtained, photographic documentation of suspected or confirmed anomalies as clinically indicated
Months 1, 6, and 12

  • Locator information

  • Schedule next visit (1 and 6 months only; if indicated for month 12)

  • Update medical history

  • Update medication history

  • Weight measurement

  • Length measurement

  • Head circumference measurement

  • Physical examination

  • If specific consent for this has been obtained, photographic documentation of suspected or confirmed anomalies as clinically indicated.

  • Laboratory investigations; As clinically indicated to follow a previous abnormal finding at the new-born/initial visit, for example, HIV testing in exposed infants.
