Kinetic model: The two states |1a⟩ and |1b⟩ represent the first excited states of the vibrational modes at 1627 and 1660 cm–1, respectively. The ground state is represented by |0⟩. The vibrational relaxation time constants (or rate constants) are given by Ta (or ka) and Tb (or kb). The rate constants of the population exchange between the excited states are denoted by kab and kba. These rate constants are related by a Boltzmann factor.
