In the Map3k1ΔKD/+/WlsF/F embryos, the β-gal positive cells were detected restricted to the leading edge of the developing eyelids (left panel, red arrows). In the absence of Wntless (Map3k1ΔKD/+/WlsF/F/Le-Cre), the eye structure was disrupted, and the β-gal positive cells were detected in a larger area, most abundant in the eyelid margin (right panel, red arrows) and nasal canthus region (right panel, red arrowheads).
