Sal prevents apoptosis in the injured cortex post-TBI.

Rats were intraperitoneally injected with the endoplasmic reticulum stress inhibitor, Sal (1 mg/kg), 30 minutes before lateral fluid-percussion-induced TBI. After 6 hours, rats were sacrificed.
