IL‐5 levels following stimulation with PHA (A, 3 day cultures), soluble egg antigen (SEA) (B) and soluble worm antigen preparation (SWAP) (C) (5 day cultures) at baseline for children who were all Schistosoma mansoni egg‐positive, and after 4 mass drug administrations (MDAs) (post‐MDA group) in children who were either S. mansoni egg‐negative or egg‐positive. Cytokine levels are less control values. Data are presented as dot plots with medians at centreline and whiskers at 25th and 75th percentile.
