Figure 12

A new possible mode of operation for SCNCs in a display where the dot‐in‐rod is aligned with the electric field lines in the red, green, and blue subpixels. Application of an electric field bias causes the electron and hole wave functions to be spatially separated, thus enabling intensity switching to produce any color from a combination of red, green, and blue base colors.
