(A) In the time-course experiment, pituitary cells were incubated with E2 (100 nM) for the duration as indicated. (B) In parallel studies for dose dependence, pituitary cells were challenged for 24 h with increasing levels of E2 (1–1,000 nM). After drug treatment, the remaining cells were used for total RNA preparation for real-time PCR of the FSHβ and GREB1 mRNA expression. Data presented are expressed as mean ± SEM, and groups denoted by different letters represent a significant difference at P < 0.05 (ANOVA followed by a Dunnett’s test).
