Pathogenicity of rVc_BR60 and PA K338R mutants in mice. Five mice per group were infected with 103 to 106 PFU of Vc_BR60 backbone recombinant viruses rVc_BR60 (A), rVc_BR60PA:K338R (B), rVc_BR60/WI01PA (C), and rVc_BR60/WI01PA:K338R (D). Body weight changes and survival rates of the infected mice were monitored for 14 days. PBS was used for mock infection. Error bars for body weight changes denote SD.
