Axial (A) and coronal (B) CT images show the presence of a cavitary plaque (arrows) involving the anterior and inferior walls of the IAC next to the basal turn of the cochlea. Additionally, there is an otospongiotic plaque (arrowhead) at the fissula ante fenestram. Coronal CISS MR image (C) demonstrates a clear communication between the cavity and CSF of the IAC.
