2- to 4-cell stage progression of C. elegans embryos with microtubule-binding deficient SAS-5 variants. Shown are DIC movies of embryos (approximately 50 μm-long) from non-transgenic wild-type worms (M2), or worms expressing GFP-SAS-5 WT (M3), Δ81-90 (M4) or K65E/K66E/K67E (M5) variants. All strains were subjected to sas-5(RNAi) for 24 hours prior to extracting embryos for analysis. Images were taken every 5 seconds, frame rate 12 fps. Time indicated in mm:ss.
