LPS promotes IL-23 and IL-17A expression in HepG2 cells, as measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. HepG2 cells were treated with 1 mg/l LPS for 12, 24 or 36 h, or pretreated with 40 µmol/l ST2825 for 8 h, followed by treatment with 1 mg/l LPS for 12, 24 or 36 h. The concentration of IL-23 and IL-17A in the culture medium was quantified by measuring the absorbance at 450 nm with a microplate reader.
