HRS alleviates pathological injury in the myocardium. (A) H&E staining and (B) Masson staining were used to observe the pathological changes. There was no evidence of morphological damage in myocardial samples from the Sham group. By contrast, notable cellular degeneration and abnormal cell arrangements were observed in myocardial samples from the cardiopulmonary bypass group. Samples from the HRS group only exhibited slight morphological changes. HRS, hydrogen-rich solution; CPB, cardiopulmonary bypass; H&E, hematoxylin and eosin.
