The basal activity of hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal (HPA)-axis is potentiated in prenatal stress (PRS) mice. CON and PRS represent control and PRS mice, respectively. (A and B) PRS mice showed a significant increase in basal corticosterone (A) and adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) (B) concentrations. Sample collection was performed in the morning (8:00 am) and in the afternoon (6:00 pm).
